My Aunt Kitty

Gammy, Kitty and Mark

This is a great pic of my grandmother and her siblings. My Gammy is in the pink, next to her sister, Kitty, and then their brother Mark. Last weekend our family lost my Aunt Kitty. She was a wonderful woman. Most of my life we have held functions and holidays at her home. She could never count the right number of people and chairs. It became a running joke and it makes me smile. I remember times at their house at the beach where I would wake up and see her and my uncle Jimmy (her husband) slow dancing in the kitchen while making breakfast. Watching these two as I grew up helped me believe in love. I always wanted to have what they had. Because of the pandemic this year we haven’t gotten to spend a lot of time together as a family. And this makes me super sad. Most of our family didn’t get to say goodbye to her. But some did. And Jimmy was allowed to be with her when she passed which is good. Please keep our family in your prayers as we process the loss of such a central part of our family. Please pray for my Gammy and my Uncle Mark as they process the loss of their sister. For her three daughters and lots of grand babies as they process the loss of a wonderful mom and grandmother. And a special prayer for my Uncle Jimmy as he faces the loss of the love of his life. His partner and world. His wife. I know this can’t be easy on him. They have been together for a very long time. The adjustment to widower isn’t going to be easy. And I know that right now there are going to be no right words. Just prayers. She will be very missed by a lot of people. Thank you very much.
